This technology, through automation of financial processes and reduction of human errors, has fundamentally transformed the roles of accountants and the way financial activities are conducted. The aim of this article is to examine the impact of AI on the evolving roles of accountants and financial reporting processes. This descriptive review study analyzes past research to explore the effects of AI on accounting and the associated challenges and opportunities. Data for this study were collected and analyzed from reputable scientific databases. The findings indicate that AI, by reducing repetitive tasks, has enabled accountants to focus on advanced analytics and strategic financial advisory roles. While ethical and legal challenges remain, AI presents emerging opportunities for improving financial processes and elevating accountants' roles. The adoption of AI in accounting has led to fundamental changes in the profession, requiring accountants to adapt by acquiring new skills. Organizations must also invest in the necessary infrastructure to implement this technology and prioritize continuous staff training. Future research should focus on addressing the legal and ethical challenges related to AI in accounting. با پیشرفت‌های سریع در حوزه فناوری، هوش مصنوعی توانسته است به عنوان یکی از اصلی‌ترین محرک‌های تغییر در حرفه حسابداری و گزارشگری مالی مطرح شود. این فناوری با خودکارسازی فرآیندهای مالی و کاهش خطاهای انسانی، تحولی اساسی در نقش‌های حسابداران و نحوه انجام فعالیت‌های مالی ایجاد کرده است. هدف این مقاله بررسی تأثیر هوش مصنوعی بر تغییرات نقش حسابداران و فرآیندهای گزارشگری مالی است. این پژوهش به صورت مروری توصیفی انجام شده و با تحلیل تحقیقات گذشته، تأثیرات هوش مصنوعی بر حسابداری و چالش‌ها و فرصت‌های مرتبط با آن را بررسی کرده است. داده‌های این تحقیق از پایگاه‌های معتبر علمی جمع‌آوری و تحلیل شده است. یافته‌های این تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که هوش مصنوعی با کاهش وظایف تکراری، به حسابداران این امکان را داده است که به تحلیل‌های پیشرفته و مشاوره‌های استراتژیک مالی بپردازند. همچنین، چالش‌هایی مانند مسائل اخلاقی و قانونی در استفاده از هوش مصنوعی وجود دارد، اما این فناوری فرصت‌های نوظهوری را برای بهبود فرآیندهای مالی و ارتقاء نقش حسابداران فراهم کرده است. استفاده از هوش مصنوعی در حسابداری باعث تغییرات اساسی در حرفه حسابداری شده و حسابداران نیازمند تطبیق با مهارت‌های جدید هستند. همچنین، سازمان‌ها باید زیرساخت‌های لازم برای پیاده‌سازی این فناوری را فراهم کنند و از آموزش مستمر کارکنان خود غافل نشوند. پژوهش‌های آینده نیز باید به بررسی دقیق‌تر چالش‌های قانونی و اخلاقی مرتبط با هوش مصنوعی بپردازند.
